We’re happy to inform you that your FSCB Debit Mastercard® is now ready for your PIN number. Call 1-888-912-2335 to set your PIN. Below you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions to help you start using your new card & online banking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my automatic debit card transactions continue after the transition? 

We will make every effort to redirect your automatic debit card transactions to your new card. To ensure accounts such as PayPal or streaming subscriptions continue without interruption, we recommend updating your payment information on or after August 17, 2020. 

What are my ATM/debit card cash withdrawal and daily purchase limits? 

Your debit card has a $500 daily ATM cash withdrawal limit and a $2,000 daily purchase limit.

How can I avoid charges if I use another bank’s ATM?

With your FSCB Debit Card, you will enjoy access to over 33,000 surcharge-free MoneyPass® ATMs across the country. You can search for surcharge-free Money Pass ATMs in the FSCB Mobile Banking App. Look for the MoneyPass® logo on the ATM. 

Is there a way for me to turn my debit card off if I am concerned about usage? 

Yes! Mobile banking allows you to control access to your debit card right from your mobile device. Turn your card on or off to minimize fraud or control spending. 

Who do I contact if my First State Community Bank Debit Mastercard® is lost or stolen? 

If your card has been lost, stolen, or at any time you suspect that you have been a victim of fraud, please contact First State Community Bank as soon as possible by calling 1-877-955-3722. 

If I am already enrolled in online banking, will I have to re-enroll with First State Community Bank?
If you use the First Bank online banking system, you will be enrolled automatically in the First State Community Bank online banking system. Online banking will be available to you at 8:00 am on Monday, August 17th, 2020. You will receive a separate communication in the coming weeks with instructions on how to login and continue using online banking.
Will my login and password information remain the same?
No. Your new login credentials will be the sign-on you previously had with First Bank, and the temporary password will be the last four digits of your social security number.
Once you login you will be prompted to go through the enrollment setup and create a new password.
Does First State Community Bank offer bill pay via online banking?
Yes, bill pay is available free of charge for personal accounts. Payments submitted by 3:00 p.m. on a particular business day will be processed that same day.

Personal Checking & Savings

Will my account numbers change?
No. Your account numbers will not change.
Will I need to order new checks?
No. You should have received a supply of 20 checks prior to the transition date, along with a discount code to use for your first order of new checks.
What if I currently order checks from a different provider?
When you place a new order be sure to provide your new routing number. First State Community Bank’s Routing Number is 081918425.
If I write a check before the transition and it doesn’t clear before August 14th, 2020, will it be paid?
Yes, all of your checks will be paid out of your account, subject to availability of funds, for 90 days following August 17th, 2020.
Will my direct deposits and automatic withdrawals continue as before?
No. Originators of automatic withdrawals and direct deposits will need to be notified and provided with your new routing number. First State Community Bank’s Routing Number is 081918425.
Will my Social Security direct deposit continue as before?
We will make every effort to redirect Social Security deposits to your new account. To ensure receipt of your deposit we recommend on or after August 17th, 2020, you should reach out to the Social Security Administration to provide the new routing number. First State Community Bank’s Routing Number is 081918425.
Visit www.ssa.gov or call 1-800-333-1795. Press option 3 to make changes to your banking information.
I have automatic debit card payments set up on my accounts. Do I need to do anything?
We will make every effort to redirect your automatic debit card transactions to your new card. To ensure payments without interruptions we recommend on or after August 17th, 2020, you should reach out to the companies, such as streaming services, PayPal, Amazon, etc. to update your new debit card information.
Will my account statement look the same?
Your account statement will have a slightly different look, but you will continue to receive a statement similar to what you have received in the past. If you received images of your checks, your new statement will also include check images.
When will I receive my first checking account statement?
A First Bank statement will be produced for every account on August 14th, 2020. All statements after that date will come from First State Community Bank. Depending on your current statement cycle, you may receive a partial statement for the month of August.
Will I continue to receive electronic statements?
Yes. If you currently receive electronic statements, you will continue to receive your statement electronically.
Will my deposits continue to be insured by the FDIC?
Yes. Your deposits will continue to be insured up to the limit of $250,000 established by the FDIC.
How should I arrange for wire transfers to and from my accounts?
Wire transfers will be handled in much the same manner as before. Please call us to obtain specific wiring instructions.

 

Personal Savings Accounts

How often will interest be compounded on my Savings Account?
Interest is compounded daily and credited quarterly.
Will my interest rate change on my account?
The interest rate on your account will be provided in a separate mailing with additional details about your specific
account type.

 

Personal Money Market Accounts

How often will interest be compounded on my Money Market account?
Interest is compounded and credited when the monthly statement is printed.
Will my interest rate change on my account?
The interest rate on your account will be provided in a separate mailing with additional details about your specific
account type.

 

Certificates of Deposit (CD) and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA)

How does First State Community Bank compound and pay interest on Certificates of Deposit?
For terms of less than one year, interest is compounded at maturity. Certificates with terms of greater than one year, interest is compounded and paid quarterly.
Will the rate on my CD or IRA change?
The interest rate on CDs and IRAs will remain the same until the first maturity after August 14th, 2020. At that time, the interest rate of your CD and IRA will be established based on current First State Community Bank rates.
Will the term on my CD or IRA change?
The terms for your CD or IRA will remain unchanged.
Will my CD or IRA renew automatically?
Yes, after August 14th, 2020 you will have the convenience of automatically renewing CDs.


NOTICE: First State Community Bank will be replacing First Bank as your IRA Custodian, which is a seamless process with no action required. As your custodian, we would like to
visit with you to ensure your beneficiaries are current and our files are accurate with all of your most recent information.

When can I use my new FSCB Debit Mastercard?
 You may begin using your new First State Community Bank Debit Mastercard at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 14th, 2020.
PLEASE NOTE: Cards will not work prior to 4:00 pm on Friday, August 14th, 2020.
Will my debit card number change?
Yes, your debit card will have a new card number and expiration date printed on the front. You will need to provide the new card information to companies that make automatic recurring charges to your debit card with the effective date of August 17th, 2020.

Fraud Detection
If we notice any suspicious activity on your FSCB Debit Mastercard, we’ll text you first to verify that you made the purchase in question. And if you happen to miss the text, we’ll give you a call. This won’t happen for every transaction, just in the event of potential debit card fraud. You can rest easier knowing that we are watching out for you and ready to help.

Online & Mobile Banking

Personal accounts can be accessed online and through mobile banking at no charge. Data usage rates may be assessed by your phone carrier. We also offer online banking solutions for businesses. Ask to speak to a
member of our deposit services team for a fee schedule.
Will my online bill pay payees & previously scheduled payments carry over to the new system?
Yes. All payees and payments will carry over to the First State Community Bank online banking system.
Will my transaction history or account statements from my current online banking profile be available on my First State Community Bank online banking?
We will make every effort to retain up to 18 months of history for you. We recommend saving any historical data you think you might need prior to August 14th, 2020 from
your existing online banking profile.
Will I have the ability to receive electronic statements rather than paper statements?
Yes, First State Community Bank offers e-Statements that are available through online and mobile banking.
How will I access First State Community Bank’s online banking service?
Effective Monday, August 17th, 2020, you can access First State Community Bank’s online banking service by visiting www.fscb.com. Click the “Login” button on the home page.
Or download the FSCB Mobile Banking app through your app store.
The First Bank online banking service will no longer be available after August 14th, 2020.
I don’t currently use online banking. How can I enroll?
After Monday, August 17th, 2020 visit www.fscb.com, simply click “Enroll in Online Banking” to get started!

Is there a limit?
There is no limit to the number of times you can access a MoneyPass® surcharge-free ATM. If it is a MoneyPass ATM, it is free for you to use anytime, anywhere.
Telephone Banking
Will there be changes to 24-hour telephone banking?
You will have access to 24-hour telephone banking as of August 17th, 2020 by calling 1-888-443-3722. You can call from anywhere
in the world to check your account balances, confirm that a check has cleared, transfer funds between your First State Community
Bank accounts, and much more. All accounts will be automatically enrolled in telephone banking. The first time you use telephone
banking, you will log in using your account number and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. For added safety, we
recommend changing your telephone banking PIN when using the system for the first time.
*Please note that transfers made via telephone banking may not immediately post to your account. In order to ensure that transfers are posted on the current day’s business, please schedule transfers
before 6:30 p.m. Central Time.
